If it’s not for you – Please pass it on!

We will be doing music from such shows as Oklahoma, West Side Story, Charlie Brown, Legally Blonde and Once Upon a Mattress. Each segment will be “cast” as its own show, with the remaining actors filling in chorus roles. An emcee will guide the storyline of show, and of each inner show.

Once Upon A Mattress:
Elle Woods – Female/Mezzo/20-28
Please select TWO pieces to sing at auditions, preferably of different styles. You can begin signup and listen to tracks by visiting www.dramaticnewlife.org. We will have the tracks at the audition for you. If you are auditioning for Dance, please familiarize yourself with the dance pieces.
We’ll see you there – BREAK A LEG!
We are proud to congratulate Charlie Fox on the release of her debut LP “Alive”!
Charlie Fox is an incredible artist, dynamic performer, and a former student of Adrienne’s.
“A true songwriter at heart, her words reveal the story of her personal life and address life issues to which most people can relate.” – Allen Jimenez AXS contributor
After working intensely with her for several months last year to prepare her vocals for studio recording, Adrienne was honored with the opportunity to sing backup for her debut EP release show at Syntax Physic Opera, along with her good friend Marisa Beaver.
We are very excited to see her success and looking forward to all that comes next.

We’re pleased to congratulate Kelly Augustine for being recognized as a New Folk Finalist by the 2018 Kerrville Folk Festival! Her debut album will be released in 2019, but one of the singles off that upcoming album has been selected from among 600 entries as a finalist. She will be traveling to south Texas to play at the Kerrville Folk Festival at the end of May.
Adrienne has been working with Kelly on vocals, and Justin has been working with her on branding and strategy, for about a year. We’re so pleased to see her success. Congratulations, Kelly!
She’s still just a teenager, but this is Jaden’s… third? Fourth? Fiftieth? album. (We can’t keep track – she’s prolific and she’s been recording for almost a decade.) Check out the nationally touring Jaden Carlson Band’s crowdfunding project here.
We’re proud to hear that Andreas DeValera, a high school senior Justin and Adrienne have been working with for almost three years, has been accepted to attend Berklee College of Music in the fall! Andreas is in the process of finishing his first album and plans to have an album release concert before he leaves for school.
Our 6th-grade singer Kali Hoeksema-Walker just found out she has been accepted into Denver School of the Arts for 2018! There are only a small handful of spots open for 7th graders, as most students enter DSA in 6th grade and continue on. Congratulations to Kali – her hard work on sight singing, reading rhythm, learning musical notation, and singing a cappella over the last several months has paid off!
Ever wonder what kind of student takes voice lessons with Kristin at Performance High in Lafayette? Here’s a great article on two of them! And this makes me happy for multiple reasons:
1) these are two of the best, hardest working young people on the planet, who both deserve recognition for their talent and excellent work and musicianship, and I could not be prouder of them;
2) not only are they both my students, they are also great friends who met through our studio, which fact demonstrates our goal to create a mutually supportive community of artists of all ages, through networking and performance opportunities. In fact, Jaden will be playing as part of Jacob’s band at the gig mentioned in the article, Prospect Sound Bites this Monday evening;
3) BoCo – represent! These two show the enormous talent and commitment we’ve got here in paradise. We may not be the big city, but yet again, Boulder County proves to be a mecca for more than just patchouli and herbal refreshment
4) this article makes me look like a rock star. I’m good with that.
Enjoy, and congrats to these fantastic musicians. The future is in good hands, and apparently, the future is now.
