Our one-day workshops and seminars are a great way to take a quick dive into a topic you’re interested in learning more about, without committing more than a few hours.

Membership price is available to students taking private lessons on monthly payment plans.

In this three-hour session, Justin will review your song or song fragment, find what you’re doing well, and give you ideas for how to take the song to its next step. Along the way, he’ll use each song as an example to illustrate different songwriting principles. Learn from others’ songs, and get actionable ideas for how to spark your own creativity. Learn to record your own music at home.

Recording at home is quite simple, but might be intimidating if you haven’t yet started. So let’s get started!

After this beginner-level class, you’ll be able to capture song ideas in multitrack format, use MIDI so you can “play” any instrument, comp together your best takes, use effects to spice up your production, play with different production ideas, and mix your own song! More Info | Register

The mixing board can look more complicated than it actually is.  Spend a couple hours learning your way around a few different mixing boards and learning how to troubleshoot the most common problems, and you’ll be ready to run sound yourself the next time your band arrives at a bar to find a PA… but no engineer.

Moves, Tools and Rules for on-Stage Confidence

Live music performance is more than just singing your songs, it’s about creating a powerful emotional experience for the audience. While great stage performance can seem difficult to understand, the ideas and principles that make up “stagecraft” make it possible for anyone to become a powerful performer. In this class, singers will have a chance to perform every class in a warm, supportive environment while getting clear instruction in stagecraft. We will focus on relating to the audience, conquering nerves and unlocking your energy. Subjects will also include microphone technique, how to move on stage, and developing a performance style.
