What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on our site (including our booking system), subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey, or fill out a form such as our contact form.

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, mailing address, or phone number. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

We may use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device’s IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf. How do we protect your information?

Our booking and payment system, MindBodyOnline, is a major software system used by gyms and yoga studios across the globe.  It operates on secure servers. All supplied billing information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database.  Your credit card number cannot be viewed once it is saved into the database.

After a transaction, your credit card number will be stored on our servers for your convenience in paying for future lessons.  If you prefer that we do not store your credit card information, tell us.

We strongly recommend against emailing sensitive data, including credit card information, through email, as email is not secure.

Do we use cookies?

Yes.  Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computers hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

We use cookies to compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We do use Google Analytics to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. 

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We, therefore, have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products, and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.  (Although we do provide lessons to kids, we communicate with their parents.)
